Operated and maintained by Joyce Edelstein's family.
Joyce Edelstein, 57, suffers from ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. She was diagnosed in July of 2000. In a course of just two years after that diagnosis, the disease took away her ability to move, talk, and breathe on her own, while leaving her mind completely unaffected and intact. Joyce has now been living on a ventilator, bed-ridden since March of 2002. She and her family continue to hope for a cure so that she can one day walk and talk again.
